GS Construction Arabia (GSCA) recently participated in an engagement meeting with the GSCA & GS E&C Management, Supervisors, and Saudi Aramco representatives, providing an excellent platform to showcase the company's capabilities, project experience, and value-driven solutions for future project execution.
During the meeting, GSCA representatives held productive discussions with Ms. Haneen Alghamdi and the Saudi Aramco Team, fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening collaboration between the two organizations. The session also provided an opportunity for contractors to share practical insights on challenges encountered under the Long-Term Agreement (LTA) framework and propose improvements for future contracts.
Among the key topics discussed were engineering, procurement, and construction challenges associated with small Brownfield projects. It was highlighted the difficulties of maintaining a large in-Kingdom engineering organization, the limited availability of dedicated engineering resources through GS E&C companies, procurement constraints caused by a restricted vendor pool, and challenges in securing competitive subcontractors for small-scale construction works. To enhance project execution, participants recommended greater flexibility in utilizing engineering resources, expanding opportunities for new vendors, streamlining approval processes, and increasing decision-making authority for Project Management Teams (PMTs).
The engagement meeting was viewed as a valuable opportunity to strengthen partnerships, exchange perspectives, and identify practical measures that could improve future project delivery performance under the Additional LTA Contract.
